Halo were tasked with evolving the Organic Colour Systems brand to better communicate their values and determine their future direction. The website was a key platform for delivering that message.

Their old website was starting to look dated; it was not mobile responsive and not easy to update. As an existing client, Organic Colour Systems asked us to create a new website that would engage with their audience.

Understanding the audience

Understanding the audience was key to the success of the new website. Organic Colour Systems core audience are professionals. They do not have time to read lengthy content, are visually lead and follow the latest fashion and styling trends.

We needed to make sure we communicated effectively with this audience through the website, while still portraying the clients core ethical values.

To achieve this we made sure the website features bold imagery, clear bite sized content and videos to deliver clear messaging. We integrated with YouTube’s API to pull videos directly from their channel’s playlist making it easy to keep the website updated with minimal effort.

The site had to work across multiple countries

Organic Colour Systems are an international brand.

Every year they hold workshops to train and educate salon owners and hairdressers on how to get the best results from their products. In order to facilitate this, we built a workshop booking system that allows the user to choose which country and workshop they are interested in and reserve their place.
