The brief

Digital strategy.
User experience.

WordPress development.

Inspiring young travellers to take once-in-a-lifetime, ethical travel expeditions across the globe.

Halo were commissioned to design and build an exciting new website that could communicate the real world impact Camps International have on communities across the globe.

We started off by getting to know what would resonate with their audience to help us to define the user experience and ensure we created an effective solution that could deliver results. We identified 2 key audiences.

Visit website

01. Independent volunteering

Individuals looking for a gap year trip or a few weeks away where they can make a difference.

02. School expeditions

Schools looking for fully supported life enhancing expeditions across Africa, Asia and South America.

Each group were looking for something different. We identified each groups key drivers and what was going to encourage them to make an enquiry and book a trip.

We divided the site into two core areas so we could personalise the experience and content so it would be relevant to the user.

The site had to work across multiple countries

We delivered a WordPress Multisite with tailored content and pricing specific to each region. We achieved this with a custom theme with flexible page templates allowing Camps International to manage and edit content across the multiple sites within one content management system.

The addition of WooCommerce and multi currency setup allows Camps International to manage their expeditions, pricing and allows travellers to sign up and pay for their trips online.
