The Halo team head to North Wales

Read Georgie’s account of our recent trip to Pennant Park North Wales, home to our client’s first holiday park and one of the UK’s best places to go for a luxurious escape in beautiful natural surroundings.

When our holiday park client, Wayfind Escapes, invited us to a weekend at Pennant Park, we did a little happy dance ‒ here was our chance to experience the stunning lodges and beautiful surroundings first-hand ‒ and see the brand we’ve been working on come to life!

Five of us (plus partners and kids!) made the five-hour drive to beautiful North Wales, rocking up as the sun dipped below the horizon. Following our visit last August, we knew there’d be huge improvements to the park ‒ they’ve invested £1m in new facilities, not to mention new on-park signage and guest welfare information from our brilliant team. Suffice to say the new branding looked absolutely stunning in the flesh!

Despite thinking we’d need our waterproofs and wellies for the entirety of our trip, we woke up to frosty fields and the sun beaming into the lodges, it was simply idyllic! Armed with his new 4k drone, Nick took to the skies Saturday morning to get aerial footage of the park and surrounding area. We then headed to nearby Talacre Beach for a quick sea dip (on Jess’ part!) and sandcastles, followed by an obligatory beer and ice cream.

The rest of the day was spent enjoying the lodges in all their glory ‒ cards, sofa snuggles with the little ones and plenty of time in the hot tubs, to be precise! Adam had a swing at the golf course and we ended the evening with a Chinese takeaway and murder mystery board game. It turns out Hannah is quite the sleuth!

After we filled our bellies with pancakes and fry-ups on Sunday morning, half the Halo squad made their way back to the English border via a local theme park, and we were surrounded by rollercoasters and candyfloss. The other half of the team had a bit of a calmer affair mooching around the local towns.

Despite the long journey back being filled with the sounds of ‘are we there yet?’, it’s safe to say it was so worth it! Seeing our client’s vision come to life means so much to us and being able to work on their marketing materials from a place of personal experience is a real privilege.

Until next time (we will definitely be back) and don’t forget to look out for more footage from our fancy new drone!
