It’s time to drag our wonderful Account Director, Carly Vrettos, into the spotlight.

We love this lady for her perpetually positive vibes, not to mention her dedication to what she does, which shines through every day. We managed to steal a few minutes from her busy schedule to ask her a few Qs…

What’s your biggest fashion disaster?

I’m going to stay true to my grunge roots and say it wasn’t a disaster, but I did used to wear below-the-knee shorts and DMs. With my skinny legs I looked like a golf club!

Bet you rocked it! If you could head to the pub with three famous people, who would you choose?

My favourite person of all time is Brian Cox, as he managed to explain string theory in a way that I actually understand! Then it would have to be Angelina Jolie because she’s just such an interesting person and I’m sure she’s got a lot of great stories to tell! Lastly, the screenwriter and producer Russel T Davies ‒ I’m a massive Doctor Who geek and I’d love to pick his brains about what goes on behind the scenes!

Sounds like one weird and wonderful evening! You’re always happy and upbeat ‒ what’s your secret?

For me it’s about doing what you love and surrounding yourself with people you actually want to spend time with. I’m lucky to have an awesome team here at Halo and also incredible clients, so it keeps a smile on my face!

You’re being cast away to a desert island but get to take three essential items and three luxury items with you. Spill the beans.

Tricky one! For my luxuries I’d have a radio, a kindle and a boat, and for my essentials I’d have a yoga mat for pilates, suncream and a generator to power my tech!

What’s your biggest achievement in life?

It’s going to have to be my boys, Bill who’s 7 and Ted who’s 9. Oh, and my four nephews! They’re all my lovely boys and bring so much fun and energy to life.

What’s your food heaven and food hell?

Easy ‒ food heaven would be steak, chips and peppercorn sauce (no veg, thanks!). Food hell would be celery. I mean, what IS the point in it?!

If you won the lottery today, what’s the first thing you’d do?

I’d treat my whole family to a trip to Naples, which is where my mum’s from. We’d see our extended family and soak up the sun in style!

What do you admire most in people?

Passionate, positive people who love what they do and inspire others. It’s a rare characteristic, but when you meet someone like that you can’t help but feel uplifted.
