Brief
Immersive Arts is a groundbreaking funding and support programme for UK-based artists, designed to help them develop their art by using immersive technologies.
They needed an unbiased and professional review of their recent rebrand, design and website. The key objective was to deliver on the vision of the original brief, creating a new website that gives the editorial team the flexibility to create new content to support the ongoing evolution of the project.
We carried out an in-depth audit of their website, measuring and analysing its efficiency and visibility to define what is, and isn’t, performing well. We then presented a cost-effective approach to convert the website’s static templates into a flexible content format that the editorial team could own and evolve. While the core development was underway, we further refined user experience for the visitor and editorial team, improved page speed performance, and, importantly, provided greater website accessibility for Immersive Arts’ broad audience.
Immersive Arts re-launched a fully-populated website, with excellent feedback on the new, improved editorial experience. They’ve since added numerous new artists’ portfolio pieces, which the project sponsors positively recognised. To ensure continual development, we’ve created a roadmap for future improvements, including improved mobile accessibility newsletter design, media slide shows, and ongoing accessibility refinement.
Working with Halo has been amazing. David, Ant and the team put in a huge amount of effort to ensure the website was fully accessible — both for our team and for the user experience. I can't praise them enough for the patience they've shown throughout the process. The turnaround was really fast, and their support went above and beyond. They've been super communicative and made the whole process as stress-free as possible. We now have a fully functioning website that does everything we originally set out to do! I would definitely recommend working with them.
