It’s Scott’s turn! We put our Lead Designer under the glare of the Halo Spotlight.

Meet Scott, our meticulous Lead Designer, who puts his heart and soul into every single thing he does. With an eye for detail and obsession for perfection, he balances creativity with forensic accuracy ‒ and always with a smile on his face.

What do you think are the best and worst qualities in a person?

Best qualities are kindness, empathy, reliability and respect. Worst qualities are dishonesty, selfishness and arrogance.

What’s your food heaven and food hell?

I love Chinese food ‒ it’s not healthy, but it tastes amazing. My food hell would be anything with Swede in it! Other than that, I like most things.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?

Don’t be in a rush to grow up (I’m still a big kid at heart).

If you could relocate to any part of the world, where would it be and why?

I think I’d like to live in the Swiss Alps. Clean air, amazing scenery and skiing would always be an option (would need a bit more practice though!).

What’s your best and worst quality?

I like to think I’m loyal and hardworking. My worst quality is my OCD…it can be too much sometimes!

You’re given a thousand pounds and the day off. What’s the plan?

Hire a sports car, do a skydive and get a tattoo (not sure where yet though!) ‒ midlife crisis alert!

What are the three things you’re most proud of?

Number 1: My two Daughters – they’re my world.
Number 2: My resilience – I always try to adapt to moving situations.
Number 3: Being able to spot alignment issues at 100 yards.

We’re going to end on a quickfire round. Ready?

Cats or dogs? Dogs

A day in the desert or the Arctic? Arctic

Pizza or pasta? Pasta

Beer or wine? Beer

Night owl or early bird? Night owl

Mountains or beach? Mountains

Costa or Nero? Nero

And last but not least…

Galaxy or Cadbury? Cadbury – every time.

Building loyalty that lasts: how brands can truly connect

In uncertain times, loyalty is the anchor that keeps customers close. It’s no longer about points and punch cards — it’s about creating real, immediate value and building relationships that feel personal, emotional and human. The brands winning today are those that understand their customers, reward them in meaningful ways, and make them feel part of something bigger than a transaction.

A storefront window featuring a vibrant, abstract mural with bold colors of purple, blue, black, and pink. The illustration includes stylized figures engaged in various creative activities like drawing, thinking, and interacting with objects. The mural is framed by a black awning, and the reflection of houses and trees can be seen in the glass. A sign on the right side reads 'halo. Why mission, vision and values matter for your brand image

Your mission, vision and values are the foundation of your brand identity and your external communications. Get them right, and you’ll have customers, partners and investors who trust you, believe in you and choose you. Get them wrong (or worse, don’t live by them), and you’ll struggle to cut through.
