This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving independent integrated marketing agency in Bournemouth as an experienced Account Director.
We are looking for an experienced Account Director to join our fast-paced and sociable team. You’ll be the client lead on some of our biggest integrated accounts, shaping their strategy, and delivering campaigns and projects that help them achieve and exceed their objectives. You’ll approach new opportunities with a proactive, positive growth mindset.
The Account Director will lead and inspire a small team of Account Managers to deliver creative and technically brilliant solutions every day. Mentoring them to develop in their roles too.
Your digital experience will allow you to think on your feet, solve problems and quickly identify solutions across various mediums. You’ll be confident with numbers. Holding accountability for client billing, forecasting and budgeting. As well as using data to inform decision-making and report on the performance of campaigns.
You do need to be passionate, full of initiative and willing to get stuck in.
Responsibilities
- Building great relationships with clients to truly understand their objectives and deliver on them.
- Creating marketing strategies and plans that strive to meet and exceed client objectives.
- Managing integrated campaigns including web projects and digital marketing campaigns from brief to delivery
- Maintain and manage accurate commercial forecasting, retainers, project reconciliation and timely invoicing
- Ensure the profitability and growth of client accounts
- Understanding, gathering and documenting project requirements
- Creating project/campaign quotes and project plans for sign off
- Writing inspiring creative briefs and liaising with the studio team
- Scheduling work in a timely and efficient manner
- Undertake testing on projects, to ensure the final delivery meets requirements and scope.
- Reporting on the performance of websites and campaigns, using this insight to provide recommendations and improvements.
- Write proposals, pitch and tender documents
- Presenting to clients in a professional manner
- Day-to-day client communication and management
Skills and experience
- 5+ years experience working in a creative/marketing agency or similar
- Educated to a degree level in marketing, communications, media, business or equivalent
- Experience in creating and leading marketing strategies for national clients
- Team management – direct line management and mentoring
- Experience delivering campaigns that exceed KPIs
- Managing annual budgets, retainers and sales forecasts
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, PPC, Organic Search, Email and Social Media
- Confident using Google analytics, GA4 and website reporting
- Proactive to recommend new solutions and improvements
- Good understanding of web platforms; WordPress, Magento, Shopify
- Knowledge and experience in marketing automation, reporting dashboards and integrations would be an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
