Say hello to Holly – the feeder, the foodie, the fearless Business Development Manager who’s just as comfortable chasing rugby balls as she is chasing new opportunities. In this spotlight, we dig into her love of adventure, her childhood hero and the one quote she lives by.

What’s a hobby or interest you’ve picked up recently?
If you’d asked me this a few months ago I’d have said Paddleboarding, or trying my hand at silver smithing at my amazing friends’ workshops. However, after spending hours on the sidelines with my kids, I finally caved, and this summer, took up Touch Rugby at Wimborne RFC. I’m loving my extended rugby family – such a laugh and a great bunch of ladies!

If you could swap places with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Phileas Fogg (Around the World in 80 Days) – who wouldn’t want to experience those globe-trotting adventures?! Although, I’d very much like a few more than 80 days!

What’s a dish you can cook really well?
With Malaysian blood running through me, I just love Asian food. My friends and family know me as ‘The Feeder’! I’d say my signature dishes are Phad Thai, Popiah, Som Tam and Steamed fish with Thai flavours, coriander, garlic, soy, lime and chilli!

Who was your childhood hero?
Can I have two please? Flossie! From Flossie Teacake Adventure series! She was the original ‘through the wardrobe’ girl for me, always finding an adventure! Michael Palin! I loved heading downstairs early on a Saturday morning and watching his travels around the world! I met him once on a near empty tube at Kentish Town… I was lost for words (a rarity for me), but must have shown how awestruck I was he said ‘goodbye’ as he headed off the carriage! Perhaps that’s what got me doing my degree in Anthropology! (Nope… that’s not the study of ants… Google it!)

If you could live in any era for a week, when would it be and why?
That’s a tricky one, but perhaps the 60s, more specifically being in a field at Woodstock Festival, watching Jimi Hendrix as he defined the live music scene for future generations to come!

What’s a quote or saying you live by?

We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”

I have a side hustle, it’s a little traditional games company, inspired by my children’s love of old games and a life in live events once lived! I saw this saying and thought it was perfect! The games are always out at our house, and yes, it does get competitive!

Finish the sentence:

If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be [Thailand] because [the food is the best, the people are so welcoming, the sea is crystal clear and the weather is warm].

My dream job as a child was [an equestrian stable owner].

The best gift I’ve ever received was [my two boys] because [they challenge me, and make my heart happy and full].

Quick Fire Round:

Netflix or BBC iPlayer? Netflix

Rollercoaster or Ferris wheel? Rollercoaster

City life or countryside? Eek, a little of both… and the sea!

Instagram or TikTok? Instagram

Pancakes or French toast? French toast

Why mission, vision and values matter for your brand image

Your mission, vision and values are the foundation of your brand identity and your external communications. Get them right, and you’ll have customers, partners and investors who trust you, believe in you and choose you. Get them wrong (or worse, don’t live by them), and you’ll struggle to cut through.
