With this in mind we reinvigorated their brand by placing striking photography and customer stories at its core. This vibrant new approach was then applied offline and online.

How it began

Camps International inspire young travellers to take once-in-a-lifetime, ethical travel expeditions across the globe. The project was in two parts. Firstly to update the brand, with the primary focus on creating messages for its core market of 18 to 24 year olds but also the schools and parents of those traveling.

Photography, video and infographics were created to tell the story quickly and effectively.

As part of a bigger branding project we were commissioned to design and build an exciting new website that could communicate the real world impact they have on communities across the globe and encourage young travellers who want to make a difference to sign up.

Our solution

We started off by really getting to know what Camps International’s audience was looking for and what would resonate with them. This would help us to define the user experience and ensure we delivered an effective solution that could deliver results.

01. Independent volunteering
Individuals looking for a gap year trip before or after University or looking for a few weeks away where they can make a difference.

02. School expeditions
Schools looking for fully supported life enhancing expeditions across Africa, Asia and South America.

Each group are looking for something different so we had to understand what their key drivers were and what was going to engage with them and encourage them to make an enquiry and book a trip.

We divided the site into two core areas so we could personalise the experience and content so it would relevant to the user.

The site had to work across multiple countries

Europe, Australia and the UAE, delivering tailored content and pricing specific to each region. We achieved this with a WordPress multi-site and we developed a custom theme with flexible page templates allowing them to manage and edit content across all three sites with one content management system.

The addition of WooCommerce and multi-currency setup allows Camps to manage their expeditions, pricing and allowing travellers to sign up and pay for their trips online.
