This month’s spotlight is on Amélie, our budding marketeer!
04/07/24
We’re very lucky to have aspiring marketeer, Amélie, with us for work experience.
Before we dive into her spotlight, we asked her why she chose Halo out of the crowd:
I’m excited about being part of Halo’s collaborative, innovative marketing agency. Working closely with a team of talented professionals provides the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to a team effort, which I highly value. The variety of projects and clients that Halo handles and how they balance them day-to-day interests me, and therefore I’m continuously learning. Additionally, working at Halo offers the opportunity to develop a versatile skill set, further enhancing my professional growth.
Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
I’d love to have my own marketing agency, or a business in interior design or property. I also want to explore different countries and cultures, create new hobbies and interests, and one day start a family. Flexibility is key, so while I have aspirations, I’d love a balance.
What are you most proud of?
I like to think I saved my sister from drowning whilst snorkelling! Also, my A Level results (A* A B).
Who inspires you and why?
Bella Hadid ‒ she’s young, growing and one of the highest paid models in the world; she generated 852% more views on her runway looks than any other model for AW22!
She’s not only one of the most successful in her field, she also inspires me by using her voice and platform to do good. She supports various causes close to her heart ‒ she’s an advocate for diversity and representation in the fashion industry.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Australia – for the accent and the sun (but I couldn’t deal with the spiders!).
Describe your perfect day…
My perfect day would be a spa retreat followed by a sunset dinner on the beach.
Got any pet peeves?!
I’d say sisters stealing my clothes and when I can hear someone chewing really loudly.
Tell us something unusual about yourself.
I have a couple of Olympians in my family and I once rode a camel across the beach in Morocco and it chucked me into the sea!
If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you take?
It would have to be a barrel of tequila or limoncello, my bikini and my two dogs, Teddy Bear and Martha (they’re toy poodles!).
Thanks, Amélie, for your awesome answers and for choosing us for work experience – we’re not going to want to let you go!
